The Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Society invites you to visit the historic homes of Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Have a fun filled day in De Smet, South Dakota, visiting the Surveyors’ House from By the Shores of Silver Lake. Attend class in the First School of De Smet, the same school that Laura and Carrie attended and visit the home that “Pa” built in 1887.

The Laura Ingalls WilderMemorial Society, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the Ingalls-Wilder heritages in De Smet, South Dakota and to educate and enhance the experience of learning to all interested people.
