Friendship soon turns to romance for Laura Ingalls and Almanzo Wilder in this yea'rs live porduction of "These Happy Golden Years".

 This is a heartwarming and unforgettable story Laura Ingalls and her family's joys and struggles as the pioneer the Dakota prairies.

The setting sun and Dakota prairies provide a wonderful backdrop for the outdoor pageant. The pageant is held one mile southeast of De Smet. From the pageant grounds you can see the land Pa homesteaded and the cottonwood trees Pa planted. The big slough and Silver Lake are nearby. "These Happy Golden Years" brings Laura and her prairie wonderfully to life.

Pageant Performances Outdoors at 9:00 p.m.
Gates open at 7:00 p.m.

• No advanced ticket sales (Not necessary or available)
• Tickets: Adults $8.00, Children, $5.00
• For your comfort and pleasure bring jackets, the prairie evenings can get cool.
• Some seating is provided - may wish to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
• Concessions on grounds.
• Souvenirs and Programs available.
• Free wagon rides for the children.
• Visit with performers after the pageant.
