Visit De Smet, South Dakota

The Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant

Please join us for this glimpse into America ’s pioneer past with pioneer girl, Laura Ingalls Wilder and her family.

The setting sun provides a wonderful backdrop for the outdoor pageant.  The pageant is held one mile southeast of De Smet.

2013 The Little Town on the Prairie

The little settlement that weathered the long, hard winter of 1880-81 is now a growing town. Laura is growing up and Mary is at last able to go to a college for the blind. Best of all Almanzo Wilder asks permission to walk home from church with Laura. Laura, now fifteen years old, receives her certificate to teach school and so continues Laura Ingalls Wilder's beloved story of a pioneer girl and her family on the Dakota Prairies.

Please, join us as we bring this unforgettable story to life!

Look for these exciting scripts coming in future years.
