Restoration Updates

January 2007 - Currently plans are underway to begin working on the school in the spring when weather permits.  Additions will be removed and the building will be moved to a new location near the giftshop.

May 2007 - The school is moving!  Telkamp Moving of Brookings, SD, moves the school from  its longtime home on 3rd street to its new home on Society property at 105 Olivet Ave.

June 2007 - The construction crew is working on the siding and front entryway.

June 29, 2007 - The First School is open for tours.  The inside is still in great need of restoration but the outside is looking great.  Fundraising continues for interior work.
